| eCommerce is defined simply as people doing business with one another electronically. Typically this means on the Internet. Traditionally it has mostly centered on the purchase transaction of ordering of goods or services. Today’s technologies take eCommerce to a new level known as Digital Commerce. |

Digital Commerce includes all the various aspects of modern eCommerce, plus a lot more. Digital Commerce development projects are becoming increasingly complex. The associated list highlights many of the common components to be considered in the integrations. As a tenured senior Internet consultant, Stephen Dunham has served extensively in analytical and managerial roles. Regardless of job title, he is always exercising project management best practices, and is always looking at the big picture. Liaising amongst the business stakeholders and the development teams, and coordinating efforts impacting dozens of constituents. As a project manager, responsible for multiple projects totaling $2.5 million to $3 million. |

The MasterLink Group – Internet Developer Founder and President. Pioneering the Internet. Built the company in the early days of eCommerce. Architected the infrastructure. Managed the development. Serviced clients such as TU Electric, CITGO Petroleum, and Sonny Bryan’s Barbeque. Personally responsible for CITGO’s online credit card application and TU’s Home Energy Efficiency Tour marketing project.
WalMart – SamsClub.com ATG Integration Sr. ATG eCommerce Business Analyst and Requirements Manager at the Wal-Mart Home Office. Responsible for managing scope definition and requirements documentation for the mission-critical ATG Merchandising module of the SamsClub.com ATG Portal ecommerce initiative. Working on requirements for the SamsClub.com Auctions site (Auctions.Samsclub.com). Scheduling and managing the Merchandising requirements timeline. Working closely between the business client and the technical architects to ensure clarity and conformance (leading the RGS & JAD efforts). Commanding in-depth familiarity with the full Merchandising lifecycle, as well as with the marketing lifecycle including email campaigns. Performing gap analysis. Mentoring business analysts and advising project managers. The complex program includes over 75 different integration points; a few of the well-known ones include Endeca, Scene 7, Web Collage, Silver Creek, Sterling/Yantra OMS, Kwikee, eBay/FairMarket, WebSphere, payment/gift cards, and many more. The Merchandising application is the single most-complicated project module. Business benefits include automating certain roles to streamline processes and bring new SKUs to market quicker. Sam’s Club, owned by Wal-Mart – the world’s largest retailer – is the second largest members-only wholesale club and growing. |

Symantec.com – Portal Integration Managing the documentation and leading the requirements campaign (RGS, JADs) for Symantec.com’s Endeca search functionality in the initial release of the Fusion (portal) project. Providing consultation to Symantec & Borland for integrating CaliberRM into their project management environment . |

Corel Corporation – eCommerce Process Analysis Sr. Business Analyst/Process Analyst responsible for leading the project to map Corel’s business processes in consideration of their ATG eStore portal implementation. Leading a distributed team in working closely with the business owners and SMEs to identify their functional areas, the processes within them, and map those processes. Establishing a standardized mapping template in Corel’s iGrafx process mapping program. Identify problems & bottlenecks, and identify opportunities for process change and improvement, including replacing WebSphere with ATG. Working closely with PMs and coordinating amongst various ongoing IT projects. Presenting to the executive project sponsor. |
Handango.com – ATG Implementation Senior Business Analyst on Handango.com’s replatform/redesign to an ATG foundation. Identifying and documenting the project scope. Working closely with business stakeholders in understanding their full lifecycles for merchandising, marketing, and email campaigns. Conceiving and championing the design and management of a requirements database (in MS Access). Tangibles include requirements statements, use cases, process flows, site maps, taxonomy/ontology analysis, and wire frames. The database also facilitates the ease of complex traceability for testing and quality assurance. |
